"Reprint" PetroChina Oil Field Achieves Major New Oil and Gas Discovery!

A few days ago, great good news came from the oil and gas exploration in the west slope of the Shawan Sag in the Junggar Basin. Well Chepai 24, a key pre-exploration well, achieved a high production of 100 tons after fracturing the third section of the Permian Jiamuhe Formation. At present, the 6 mm choke produces 150.5 cubic meters of oil and 16,600 cubic meters of gas per day. The casing pressure is 14.3 MPa, and the pressure production is stable. It is worth mentioning that the high production of Well Chepai 24 is the first breakthrough in the glutenite of the third member of the Permian Jiamuhe Formation in the Shawan Sag, and it is a new breakthrough in a new series of strata after the Upper Wuerhe Formation of Shatan 1, the Carboniferous System of Chepai 1 and the Fengcheng Formation of Shatan 2, which will promote the large-scale oil and gas in the Middle and Lower Permian strata of Shawan-Mahu
